ŠKODA Citigo Introducing the ŠKODA Citigo

ŠKODA Citigo

Awarded Best City Car for less than £10,000 by What Car? in 2016, the Citigo is a well-appointed and affordable supermini. This attractive and practical vehicle is available in three- and five-door iterations and S, SE, Monte Carlo and SE L trim levels.

The Citigo’s compact dimensions make it extremely well equipped to weave in and out of traffic and slot into small parking spaces. Attractive exterior features include body-coloured bumpers that subtly enhance the car’s Tornado Red paint scheme, which comes as standard. A range of optional colours are available too, including Sunflower Yellow, Crystal Blue, Candy White and Deep Black. Standard illumination comprises, among other things,

daytime running lights, a rear fog lamp and a high-level brake light.

SE grades switch the S trim’s 14-inch steel wheels for lightweight and stylish alloys of the same size.

A four-seat cabin provides the driver with a height-adjustable steering wheel and speed-sensitive power steering. Other standard features include electric front windows, a 12-volt power socket, a range of cubby spaces and a 251-litre boot space that can be expanded to 959 litres with the rear seats folded.

Air conditioning and 60/40 split-folding rear seats come with SE grades and higher.

A 1.0-litre 59bhp petrol engine is fitted as standard with entry-level SE trims. This delivers up to 64.2mpg and a 101g/km CO2 emission figure. A GreenTech variant of the same unit returns as much as 68.9mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 96g/km, and is available with SE trims and above.

Technology and safety

A two-speaker sound system (with an AM/FM radio and a CD player) and USB and AUX inputs come as standard. SE grades add four loudspeakers and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Citigo has been awarded a five-star rating by Euro NCAP, and Electronic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System are among the vehicle’s standard driver aids. Passive safety features include multiple airbags, three-stage safety seatbelts and ISOFIX preparation.

The vehicle is secured with an electronic engine immobiliser and remote central locking.
