Spreading Christmas Magic in 2025: Station Garage Proudly Supports the Billingshurst Lions’ Santa Tour
As December arrives and the festive lights begin to glow across Billingshurst, an unmistakable symbol of Christmas cheer returns to our community: Santa’s annual tour with the Billingshurst & District Lions Club. It’s a tradition that brings families to their doorsteps, children to their windows, and smiles to every street he visits. And this year, Station Garage is once again delighted to play a part in bringing the magic to life.
Lions Clubs International, spanning over 200 countries and boasting a membership of 1.3 million men and women, is a global organization with a shared commitment to community service. The Billingshurst & District Lions Club, as a local chapter, channels this global spirit into actions that directly improve the lives of individuals and families in need. At the heart of the Billingshurst Lions Club's mission is a dedication to community service. Through charity fundraisers, support for health and wellness programs, and assistance to vulnerable groups, the club's members work tirelessly to create a positive impact.
Every December, Santa and his brilliantly illuminated sleigh, accompanied by a team of enthusiastic volunteer elves, tour Billingshurst and the neighbouring villages, playing carols and spreading festive cheer. Santa is always eager to stop, wave, and share a warm “hello” with every family who comes out to greet him.
To help the Lions make this tradition possible, we at Station Garage have proudly supplied our usual Škoda sleigh. Our creative team have even added festive touches to ensure everything looks perfect for his local Christmas tour.
What many people don’t realise is that Santa’s Tour is more than just festive fun. Every donation collected during the tour goes directly to the Billingshurst Lions’ annual Christmas Hamper Appeal.
These hampers contain treats, essentials, and small comforts that mean so much to those who are facing difficult times. While a hamper may not solve every challenge, it carries an important message: you’re not alone, and your community cares about you. The Lions’ volunteers work tirelessly to make sure these gifts reach individuals and families who could use a little extra warmth over the holidays.
If you’d like to sponsor a hamper or learn more about supporting this wonderful initiative, you can find full details on the Lions’ website at www.billingshurstlions.org/santas-christmas-tour/
Santa and his elves set off each evening at around 5.30pm, following a schedule planned by the Lions. To see when he’ll be near you, simply visit their Events Page, check the table view, or search your street on their site. It’s the easiest way to make sure you don’t miss that magical moment when the sleigh arrives.
